Timo Weiland is a trio comprised of Timo Weiland, Alan Eckstein and Donna Kang. The brand is based, designed and manufactured in New York City, drawing inspiration from music, art and the city.
Born in rural Nebraska and raised between New York City and Jacksonville, Florida, Weiland’s influences reach from the urban to the pastoral. Training from his mother at an early age in sewing coupled with an understanding of fabric sparked his early interest in fashion. He attended Vanderbilt University before returning to New York to pursue a career in fashion and to ultimately launch his namesake brand.
Eckstein was born and raised in Great Neck, New York. His enthusiasm for fashion was ignited during high school after first reading the New York Times style section. He continued to engage this early interest via his studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology, exploring the commercial aspects of the industry via courses in advertising and marketing communications.
Chang hails from Vancouver, Canada. She came to New York to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology where she graduated with a major in Fashion Design and a minor in Art History.
