New York fashion is a lot of things: sportswear, evening, street, normcore, and more. And then there’s exquisite elegance, which nobody does quite like Ralph Lauren. After showing in different formats and locations for a few  seasons, Lauren returned to the Official New York Fashion Week Schedule – and he did it perfectly.

The designer delivered a glamourous riff on Americana, from the set of the venue  at Brooklyn Navy Yard to the the clothes. Lauren worked denim in new, romantic ways, including a show-stopping evening gown, and casually chic looks with bohemian-eccentric vibes. And then there was gold – played fabulously, especially the final two looks: a leather fringe number and a gorgeous Grecian Goddess gown on supermodel Christy Turlington.

It was a super-moment to remember – for Ralph Lauren and for New York Fashion Week at large. It’s good to have you back at NYFW, Ralph!
