Over 30 years ago, CFDA member Vera Wang started her fashion brand, a label considered a pillar of the American fashion industry. Today, her label embarks on a new chapter as WHP Global, a leading brand management firm in New York, acquires the IP of the iconic Vera Wang brand.
The CFDA member, who also sits on our Board of Directors, will continue in her role as founder and chief creative officer and will join WHP Global as a shareholder, continuing to have a role in shaping the brand’s creative direction and growth.

Just last year at the 2023 CFDA Fashion Awards, Wang was honored with The Board of Directors Tribute in recognition of her impact on the bridal category. As a first-generation American and daughter of Chinese immigrants, this acquisition represents a continuation of the designer’s undeniable legacy.
WHP Global, who served as the support of the student viewing section at this year’s CFDA Fashion Awards presented by Amazon Fashion, boasts a total portfolio which generates over $7 Billion in global retail sales annually across fashion, sports and hardgoods.
