Tracee Ellis Ross on Equity

February 4, 2020

Teddy Tinson

“Equity means owning our narrative and being able to tell our own stories. And being recognized for doing so. Equity means we would profit from and have a stake in what we create and what we inspire. It will be a reality when the belief that one story matters more than another is eradicated, and when the artificial gate that supremacy created is dismantled. The industry is past due on creating pipelines to inclusive and equitable work places that allow all voices to emerge authentically and to exist safely.”
