In celebration of Caribbean Heritage Month, Edvin Thompson of Theophilio is bringing his Bashment back to Brooklyn’s 99 Scott on Sunday, June 8.

The event, now in its second year, is a dynamic celebration of Caribbean identity, music, fashion and culture. Rooted in the rhythms and resilience of the diaspora, the Bashment brings together creatives, community leaders, and tastemakers from across the globe to honor the spirit of the islands in New York City’s cultural capital.

The CFDA member has always celebrated his Jamaican roots, and this year, the event will have DJ sets, pop-up activations and giveaways from cultural institutions and Caribbean-owned brands, and special Caribbean culinary experiences.

“This event is about legacy. It’s about joy, celebration, and showing up for our culture in full color,” Thompson said. “We want people to come as they are—proud, loud, and ready to dance.”
