SoHo Goes Commando With Pop-Up

October 3, 2023

Commando is beloved for its cutting-edge and luxury-technical ready-to-wear and intimates designs, but until recently, the Vermont-based brand had not had a boutique in New York City. Enter the new retail location at 75 Greene Street in SoHo, which, according to the company, allows visitors “to experience the world of Commando, a finely tuned edit crafted from elevated fabrications, founder ingenuity and a dash of badassery.”

“Soho is going Commando!” said Commando CEO, Founder, and Designer, who called this moment a personal homecoming as the store is just blocks from where she started the brand. “While I am a proud fourth-generation Vermonter, NYC is where I started my career and has always felt like a second home. For the first time, Commando’s full brand expression and ready-to-wear evolution will be in one physical space. Women can experience firsthand the passion we have for fabric, our obsession for fit, and our dedication to creating pieces that she can rely on for comfort and confidence to be her badass self.”

Storytelling is a key element in the 2,200 square-foot pop-up, which is open through December. There is a disco-ball for levity, a Legging Bar, and “The Ultimate Closet” for play and experimentation. Collections on hand include Do It All Denim and well as fall favorites.

“Imagine opening up your closet and loving everything in it. This is our mission, because you should only wear what you love.”
