“A leader changing the way the fashion industry does business” is how Donna Rapaccioli, Dean of The Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University, described Manny Chirico, who is not just PVH Corp.‘s chairman and chief executive officer but also an alum of the school.
Rapaccioli was speaking at Calvin Klein’s 205 West 39th Street headquarter last week, where PVH and Fordham announced a new partnership to support ethical business education via a new academic hub for the study of Corporate Responsibility (CR) and Sustainability at The Gabelli School.

CR and Sustainability are at the core of PVH’s corporate ethos, and the apparel company is also a partner of the CFDA, having co-authored last year’s Insider/Outsider briefing on diversity in American fashion.
“This partnership between PVH and Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business builds on our organizations’ shared belief that businesses are accountable for contributing to a sustainable and responsible future for all,” Chirico said. “Together, we’ll empower and develop students into the conscientious business leaders that our world needs to thrive.”
The message was well-received with the crowd, which also included Fordham University President Father Joseph M. McShane, PVH President Stefan Larsson, Mario Gabelli, the donor of the The Gabelli School, and many PVH employees.
