In time for the release of our new book American Runway: 75 Years of Fashion and the Front Row, we asked CFDA Members to recall their favorite runway moments. Here, Maria Cornejo:

“Our Spring/Summer 2017 runway show was a turning point in our efforts surrounding sustainability in fashion. We sent the models out, dressed in white, in a new ecologically-responsible fabrication. The girls looked like angels, they walked barefoot and I was so proud of what we created. It was an emotional moment. You could feel it in the room.”
