Meet the Future: Discover Graduate Talent in the FFGS20 Digital Showcase
August 4, 2020

This year, the CFDA Fashion Future Graduate Showcase has gone digital. The FFGS20 A-Z directory of more than 100 recent graduate talents is searchable by specialization, foci, school and program.
The goal of FFGS20 is to help provide visibility to the creativity of the Class of 2020 – who, through their ingenuity, talent, and potential, have already demonstrated resiliency working to complete their thesis work from quarantine, agilely adapting to remote home studios while navigating societal, economic, cultural, and environmental change.
Graduating into a professional landscape of unknown futures, FFGS20 talents apply a unique approach to their chosen specializations – and with an eye to the future – represent the silver linings and bright spots of a fashion system calibrating to COVID-19 impacts.
FFGS20 graduates have been recognized by their course leaders for their exemplary potential – and were selected from 12 leading American Undergraduate and Graduate fashion programs. Each talent has been nominated based on the strength of thesis portfolios and educator recommendations. These individuals showcase significant potential to be design advocates and future change champions within climate action, social justice, diversity, and equitable fashion systems.
Within their digital portfolio pages, hope shines almost as brightly as talent. FFGS20 graduates include material innovators who paint with bacteria, print and+ grow textiles from quarantine kitchens, technocrats who have embraced CLO 3D as a creative tool to invent virtual exhibitions, as well as jewelry and shoe smith using their craft to communicate social messages. Through their creative voices, Black graduate talent leads in this class of design advocates in standing together for social justice, climate action, gender inclusivity, and an end to systemic racism.
