The CFDA is pleased to introduce the CFDA+ 2016 Design Graduates – 51 of the best graduate talents worldwide, ready to make their mark on the fashion world.

Designers and others who may be looking to make new creative hires can discover and view their portfolios here.

The 51 talents— from 30 leading fashion schools globally – were selected among 240+ applications by a committee that consisted of Piotrek Panszczyk and Beckett Fogg, AREA; Sarah Blair, Barneys New York; Brandon Maxwell; Kristy Caylor, Cerci; Michael Colovos, Colovos; Henry Zankov, DVF; Rio Uribe, Gypsy Sport; Tess Giberson, Lane Bryant; Lisa Salzer, Lulu Frost; Pamela Love; Thomas Chen, Prabal Gurung; Britt Cosgrove and Marina Polo, SVILU; Thi Wan, Thom Browne, and Wendy Lu, Tory Burch.

“I had the most fun in the selection process for this year’s CFDA+ program,” said Brandon Maxwell. “The applicants were incredibly inspiring not only in their designs and respective crafts, but also in their personalities and interviews. You could really see that each of them had a point of view and conviction, which I appreciated very much. I felt honored to be able to view their work and I know that they are on to truly amazing things. I also hope to be lucky enough to work with them in the future! I congratulate them all and wish them the very best.”

Beckett Fogg of AREA added: “Piotrek and I were very excited to be a part of this program, as it was not so long ago that we were graduates ourselves. It was such an impressive pool of applicants, and it really gets us excited about the future of American design to see so many graduates with such original concepts and developments.”

The CFDA+ mark of distinction celebrates exemplary global graduate talent. The final 51 represent 14 nationalities, and are creatively diverse with unique perspectives and specializations in Womenswear, Menswear, Accessories, Jewelry, Textiles and Knitwear.

CFDA+ is also partnering with EyesonTalents, Floriane de Saint Pierre’s innovative platform, which is generously spotlighting the program and provides global visibility to the CFDA+ 2016 Design Graduates.

“Giving visibility to the best talent is the most meaningful way to support their careers,” said Floriane de Saint Pierre, President of Floriane de Saint Pierre & Associés and Founder of EyesonTalents. “Congratulations to the CFDA for making it happen through the amazing CFDA+ Program.”

“The CFDA is honored to continue its collaboration with Eyes on Talents,” said Sara Kozlowski, CFDA Director of Education + Professional Development. “Floriane de Saint Pierre’s strategic intuition has launched careers of fashion’s most influential creatives.”
