Lolo Zouaï Shares her Best Tour Looks

After Lolo Zouaï announced she would be joining Dua Lipa on her Future Nostalgia tour in 2019, three years later, the dream finally materialized. Because of multiple setbacks due to the ongoing pandemic, Zouaï joined the global mega-star IRL as her opening act. Via Instagram earlier this year, Zouaï promised she’d be “serving looks nightly” – and she delivered.

A French-Algerian singer who splits her time between New York and Los Angeles, Zouaï has become a major name in music since her debut album High Highs to Low Lows. Known for her melodic pop music that is equal parts ethereal and emotional, Zouaï makes her mark with multicultural influences – seamlessly transitioning between English, French, and Arabic languages.

Her unique sense of style has also made her an emerging fashion star. She frequently pairs bold beauty looks paired with eclectic mix of vintage and high fashion clothes that she effortlessly blends together. Her fashion resume includes starring in ad campaigns for Tommy Jeans, performing at the Saint Laurent show in New York, and working with Dior Beauty. More recently, she also caught the eye of CFDA member Stuart Vevers. The talent was not just a guest at the Coach show, but was also featured in the brand’s campaign with Michael B. Jordan and Debbie Harry, and joined the CFDA Fashion Awards with the designer in November.

As Dua Lipa’s tour run comes to an end, we caught up with Zouaï to get a behind-the-scenes look at the major fashion looks she sported on stage.

“Every outfit should have a staple piece and for this one, the MM6 blazer is the staple. It helps that the arena shower matched with my look. (And that Philly showered me with love)!”

“In Milwaukee, I wanted to do a classic me outfit which is a Nascar jacket and a short skirt (lyrics from my song Moi). This Limewire jacket is a rare find and reminds me of the days where I downloaded too $horts entire discography on Limewire. Love me some leg warmers.”

“For Madison Square Garden, I wanted to take the tennis skirt look and find a more elevated way to do it with this Saint Sintra skirt/suit look. I added a white tutu under to have a color pop. I contrasted the look with a 90s spiky updo! Gotta do it big for MSG.”

“Columbus was one of my favorite shows. I got really emotional during ‘High Highs to Low Lows’. As you can see here, my favorite color is pink and you know I had to wear my moon boots (not pictured) on stage.”

“Would you believe me if I told you I thrifted this scarf and bought these glasses at a truck stop?”
