Jonathan Simkhai Takes Sydney for Pre-Spring 2020

While designing Pre-Spring 2020, Jonathan Simkhai envisioned warm sunsets on the iconic Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia – and today, that vision came to life. The LA-based luxury designer took a trip to Sydney to introduce his dreamy designs against a magical setting as part of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia. Soft satins and ombré silks in blush tones were perfectly accessorized with Oliver Peoples eyewear and custom Lisa Corbo jewelry. The audience included influencers Elyse Knowles, Brooke Hogan, Elle Ferguson, and more.
“For this Pre-Spring collection, it came naturally while designing it to think about travel,” Simkhai stated. “Being with the people I love, crossing new paths in new places, the most beautiful moments when this light of the magic hour takes over. I found so much inspiration when considering the mood, the energy and the colors created from this soft and powerful hour. You can be anywhere at this moment and you’ll feel the warm, exciting, inviting embrace that it achieves.”
