The last the world went through the Twenties, they roared – with the fashionable set dancing the night away at legendary haunts such as the Cotton Club or Stork Club with full-on glamour. As we’re enter the new decade – the Twenties as in 2020 – we expect to see new opportunities for fashion. Equity will be a key driver of the next few years, with diversity and inclusion continuing to inform fashion, be it race, gender, shape, age, or abilities. In a world with an environment that is at stake, we look to fashion talents to do their bit to find sustainable solutions to help save our planet. The one to watch: Greta Thunberg. The 16-year old Swedish native and just-crowned Time Person of the Year is already steering the conversation around climate change and the environment and we can’t wait to see how she continues her fight and how her voice will impact the fashion industry too.
