Ahlem Manai-Platt stressed the urgency of the current situation at the border.
“Every time I look at my son, my heart breaks,” Manai-Platt said. “What’s the difference between him and these thousands of kids? There is no difference. He was just born on the other side.
“As an American designer,” she added, “I know the world is watching us. Our industry needs to decide what side of history we want to be on. That’s why we need to donate now!”
