It was quite the year for Ben Ahlers to make his SAG Awards debut. For 2024, the ceremony celebrated its 30^th anniversary after a year filled with strikes and made its streaming debut on Netflix. Ahlers attended alongside his castmates from HBO’s hit show “Gilded Age,” which snagged a nomination for ‘Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble Cast in a Drama Series.’ The rising actor has gained prominence for his recurring role on the show, a dream job for the Iowa native who grew up doing musical theater.

A period drama set in Manhattan in the late 19^th century, the show is also worth watching for the extravagant costumes alone. Off screen, Ahlers is also an emerging style star. For the big night, Ahlers opted for CFDA member Mike Amiri to help make a statement on the red carpet. Working with stylist Dontè McGuine, the duo instantly knew Amiri would be the right brand for the moment.

“I’ve had this collection in my mind ever since I saw it debut in Paris. It was such a special show with great tailoring and styling. I was waiting for the perfect moment tap into this collection. Mike Amiri is such a great designer with so many mediums to his work. I’m honored to be able to work with him,” said McGuine.

The tailored blush-toned suit, paired with an Omega watch and David Yurman jewelry, was a standout menswear look from the night. For Ahlers, it was the perfect outfit for a night to remember.

“Getting to act for a living is a miracle in itself,” he said. “Getting nominated alongside these other legends of the craft is surreal.”
