Long-awaiting fans of HBO’s Games of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon, are finally getting their fix after the first episode of season two aired last Sunday.
The NYC premiere at Hammerstein Ballroom had a standout moment when Gayle Rankin, the breakout star of the buzziest show on Broadway, Cabaret, accessorized her dress with jewels from CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist Presley Oldham.
“I connected with Gayle over Instagram recently after she saw one of my white pearl belly chains. I reached out to her and offered to make jewelry for any of her upcoming looks, and within a few days she had some pieces,” said Oldham. “[Stylist] Karen Clarkson has been very kind and supportive, and I have been able to work with her on jewelry for Gayle’s looks to the House of the Dragons premiere and Anna Wintour’s annual Tony Awards dinner.”
For the Tony Awards after party, the actress wore Oldham’s Flame Necklace layered with the Eclipse necklace and paired with one-of-a-kind earrings from his collaboration with Todd Oldham Make Shop.
“The earrings are a one-of-a-kind pair from my collaboration with Todd Oldham Maker Shop. They feature upcycled 14k gold plated buttons from my uncle’s 1994 collection and a colorful array of Swarovski crystals mixed with freshwater pearls,” the designer said.
It’s always exciting to see a relationship between a celebrity and emerging American talent bud in real time.
