Dressing From Home: Jaime Xie

September 29, 2020

Nicky Campbell

Jaime Xie appreciates the art of getting dressed. Not one for minimalism, you’ll find bright colors, sequined bags, and dynamic silhouettes in the fashion expert’s wardrobe. While her closet is filled with lust-worthy established designers like Chanel and Fendi, Xie also likes to invest in emerging designers – think Christopher John Rogers, Area, and Amina Muaddi. Whether she is getting ready for a comfortable day at home, or getting dressed up for a night on the town as restaurants in her hometown begin to reopen, Xie always manages to pull off fashion perfection. See some of the fashion influencer’s best looks from home.

Christopher John Rogers Dress, Amina Muaddi Gilda Mules, Fendi Nano Sequin Baguette Bag, Jacquemus Earrings

“Outdoor dining had just opened at one of my favorite restaurants near our home so I had dinner plans with friends and felt like dressing up! I just discovered Christopher John Rogers last month and fell in love with his designs! This neon orange dress is so flattering and I am obsessed with bright color and velvet ruched details! I paired the dress with my new Amina Muaddi pumps and a tiny Fendi baguette bag that only fit my credit card and ID 😉😅 ”

Gucci Velour Logo Sweatshirt, Gucci Velour Trackpants, APL Sneakers

“This Gucci velour set has become my new go-to outfit for when I want to be comfy and chic. I love matching sets because they’re so easy to throw on and go when you don’t know what to wear. I wore this tracksuit with a pair of light pink APL sneakers to run some errands in the city.”

The Frankie Shop Padded Shoulder T-Shirt, The Attico Belted Denim Shorts, Louis Vuitton Vintage Denim Monogram Bag

“One of my favorite wardrobe staples is this padded shoulder T-Shirt from The Frankie Shop. I loved it so much that I bought the T-Shirt in every color when I visited their store earlier this year during Paris Fashion Week. The boxy fit and oversized shoulders make it so effortless and easy to style. I tucked it into a pair of belted denim shorts from The Attico and carried my vintage denim Louis Vuitton bag to complete the look. I’ve been doing a lot of vintage shopping lately and think it is a great way to be more environmentally conscious.”

Chanel Logo T-Shirt, Area Ruffle Crystal Trim Biker Shorts, Prada Cloudbust Sneakers

“I like grocery shopping so I do the weekly grocery runs for my family whenever I’m home. I kept it comfy and casual by wearing a Chanel T-Shirt and biker shorts from Area. I first came across Area while browsing online. I saw one of their skirts and immediately became a fan of the brand. Many of the pieces feature crystal embellishments and playful details which I love and find so fun and unique. This pair of biker shorts was no different and featured a ruffle-trimmed hem embellished with crystals. I wore my new chunky white Prada sneakers that are unbelievably comfortable and light!”

Rua Carlota Crop Top, Jacquemus Leather Shorts, Bottega Veneta BV Lido Padded Sandals

“It was another hot day in Northern California and I had plans to meet up with a friend for a bit of shopping at an outdoor mall so I put on a patchwork knit crop top from Rua Carlota and leather shorts from Jacquemus. I stumbled across Rua Carlota on Instagram during quarantine and love the colorful knitted pieces Charlotte creates. Not only is each piece 1 of 1, but they are also made from deadstock recycled fabric so there is no harm to the environment!”
