City Insider: Paris with Esteban Cortazar

October 14, 2016

Marc Karimzadeh

Esteban Cortazar’s trajectory is well-known in fashion. The Columbia-born, Miami-raised designer was just 18 when he showed his collection at New York Fashion Week, and in 2008, he moved to Paris for Ungaro. When that chapter closed, he remained in Paris to focus on his own collection there. We checked in with Cortazar and his insider tips for the City of Lights.

FAVORITE THING: Its light, beauty and the “village” life style it has.

LEAST FAVORITE THING:  Hardly anything is open late and no taxis (although Uber changed things).

MUST DO: Walk around and get lost in the city, discover and contemplate.

MUST SEE: The renovated Picasso Museum.

WHERE TO EAT: Clamato

WHERE TO CHILL: Any of the incredible gardens that are here. My favourite is the Luxembourg Gardens or Palais Royal.

BEST STREET STYLE: I love the ladies of the 16th but also the kids in Les Marais and St. Germain.

LIFE AS AN AMERICAN IN PARIS: It’s been great! I have felt very welcomed ever since I arrived here.

MISSING IN THE U.S.: My friends.
