Christian Siriano has found a new home in Westport, Connecticut. The designer left New York City, found love in his new adopted hometown, and is now making his presence known with his latest retail venture.
This week, the CFDA member continued to expand his growing fashion empire with the opening of his newest store, The Collective West. Located in the heart of the chic town, the store allows the brand to fully be introduced to the fashion community with a physical presence. In addition to his own designs, the store will house various young designers and brands curated by Siriano, including Swoon Westport, Josh Levkoff Jewelry, Irene Lummertz Jewelry, Snif, Eny Parker, Bleusalt, Franny’s Farmacy, Bungalow’s Décor, and Future Lovers of Tomorrow. The store also allows the brands to fully flourish by removing the wholesale element of the traditional department store business model, giving artists more control by retaining a full retail margin as well as creative freedom.
“The opening of THE COLLECTIVE WEST is so exciting for me because I decided to follow my customer, which ultimately led me out of the city and into Westport,” said Siriano. “To be able to uplift and support the young artists featured in this store is something I’m really proud of because without retail, fashion wouldn’t exist.”
To celebrate the occasion, friends like Katie Holmes, Laura Linney, Debra Messing, and Coco Rocha showed up to show their love and support for Siriano. Swipe through our gallery to see more from the event.
