CFDA Joins Letter to President Biden on Intellectual Property Rights

Today, the CFDA joined a group of organizations in signing a letter to President Biden, urging him to nominate and ensure rapid Senate confirmation of executives for four currently unoccupied positions critical to protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights.

The CFDA is aligned in prioritizing the protection of intellectual property in  products, designs, brands, and images.

The roles in need of confirmation are: Chief Innovation and Intellectual Property Negotiator; U.S. Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator (IPEC); Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO); Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
