This just in! Kerby Jean-Raymond of Pyer Moss won the top prize at the fifteenth CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund awards, taking home $400,000. Emily Adams Bode of Bode and Jonathan Cohen were named runners-up, each receiving $150,000.

Actress Emily Blunt announced the winners after chic cocktails, tasty chicken pot pie (an annual Fashion Fund tradition), inspiring words by Vogue’s Anna Wintour and CFDA’s Diane von Furstenberg, and a fashion show.

Jean-Raymond joins an impressive group of past winners who have become household American fashion names, including Proenza Schouler, the recipient of the first fund in 2004, Alexander Wang (2008), Altuzarra (2011), The Elder Statesman (2012), Brock Collection (2016), and, last year, Telfar.

“At a time when our world faces so many challenges, I’m impressed by this year’s winners,” Wintour said. “Their work highlights a high degree of creativity and a deep-rooted commitment to the notion of community. They’re not only a credit to the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund as it celebrates its fifteenth anniversary, but also to the optimism and inclusivity of the very best American fashion.”

CFDA’s Steven Kolb added, “For 15 years, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund has provided emerging talent with a path to become tomorrow’s American fashion leaders. In the process, we have identified many fashion stars, and created a culture that welcomes and fosters young talent.”

The gala dinner was made possible with the generous support of JD.com, China’s largest retailer, a long-time supporter of designers around the world, and a premier destination for authentic fashion in China.

“JD.com is delighted to continue its support of emerging American designers through the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund,” said Xia Ding, President of International Fashion at JD. “As China’s top destination for authentic fashion, we love being able to help designers expand their global reach, and to connect fashion lovers in China with the next generation of fashion talent.”

The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund is supported by underwriters Diesel, Instagram, JD.com, Lane Bryant, LIFEWTR, M·A·C Cosmetics, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Theory, Tomorrow London Holdings, and Vogue. Special thanks go to Kim Crawford Wines, Lyft, M·A·C Cosmetics, Perrier-Jouët, and Zoya Nail Polish and Treatments for their additional support.
