The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) is alarmed to witness the surge in violent attacks against minority communities across the U.S. Many of these deplorable assaults in the past year have specifically targeted Asian Americans.
The CFDA stands in solidarity with the Asian American & Pacific Islander community and our members. Rectifying the racial inequalities in our society and our industry is necessary. The CFDA is committed to this work and will continue to create and support opportunities for Asian American & Pacific Islander creatives and professionals, and has made a donation to Gold House, a non-profit that comprehensively champions the societal standing of Asians and Pacific Islanders through essential causes like #StopAsianHate, affirming media representation, and economic empowerment.
If you would like to donate or get involved in fighting these heinous crimes and help victims of Anti-Asian violence, please consider the following organizations and resources:
We are united against all forms of racism and xenophobia. There is no space for violence in our industry, in our country, and in our world. Stop the violence now.
