The Deadstock Opportunity: Fabric, it’s everywhere. It’s your clothing, the material on your chair, the inside of your car, the carpet under your feet. Yet $120B of unused fabric (“deadstock”) sits in warehouses collecting dust or gets burned or buried. This costs brands/retailers $168B in warehousing costs. At that volume, waste is not just environmentally irresponsible, it’s a CFO issue. Queen of Raw solves the $288B in lost revenue while reducing waste, improving efficiency, & growing loyalty. Deadstock is sold quickly and easily at lower price points and with low minimums, giving designers access to materials that they never had before.

Reselling Technologies for Turning Deadstock Into Dollars: After leading the market with its front-end marketplace for textile resale (ranked top 3 globally for keyword “deadstock fabric”), Queen of Raw built back-end software. Through the cloud, enterprise brands/retailers can participate in circular commerce profitably & at scale. They take action on deadstock based on real-time insights & end-to-end automation. We completed a software integration with SAP for access to data & customers & we partnered with MIT Solve to advance our proprietary algorithms measuring impact & ROI.

Solving the World’s Water Crisis: Textile production is the second biggest polluter of clean water. One t-shirt takes ~700 gallons of water to produce. We have saved 1B+ gallons of water, enough clean water for 1.4 million people to drink for 3 years (as featured by United Nations). We are a Founding Member of New York Circular City Initiative (with H&M, Unilever, Goldman Sachs, Ellen MacArthur Foundation) & of Wildlife Friendly Enterprise Network (with Kering & Stella McCartney).
