TENCEL™ Lyocell and Modal fibers transform textiles to meet everyday consumer needs. Derived from the sustainably sourced renewable raw material wood, and produced by environmentally responsible processes, TENCEL™ branded cellulosic fibers are compostable and biodegradable.

In 2020, TENCEL™ continues its journey to True Carbon Zero, contributing to a carbon neutral textile industry. With a vision to have net-zero emissions by 2050, our three-step plan is already in action: reduce, engage and offset. The resulting carbon-zero TENCEL™ Modal fibers are certified as CarbonNeutral® products by Natural Capital Partners.

Furthermore, with Eco Clean technology Lenzing brings totally chlorine-free-bleached TENCEL™ Modal fibers to the textile industry, offering one of the most responsible and cleanest choices within all existing modal fibers. It is applicable to both of the renowned TENCEL™ Modal and TENCEL™ Modal x Micro fibers. Owing to the gentle bleaching process, fibers tend to be softer than conventionally bleached ones. Moreover, the process is more environmentally responsible than conventional bleaching.

Lastly, TENCEL(TM) Modal with Eco Color Technology offers long-lasting color fastness and design flexibility in textiles. Fibers produced with the Eco Color technology have been certified with the EU Ecolabel for textile products, a label of environmental excellence awarded to products meeting high environmental standards throughout their life cycle.
