The Council for Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and Vogue are pleased to announce the second season of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund “Americans in Paris” initiative, made possible by the sponsorship of Tommy Hilfiger.

The “Americans in Paris” initiative was created as a global showcase for emerging American designers. As Paris Fashion Week attracts a wide array of international retailers, the showroom will provide invaluable global exposure for the designers as well as the sales, marketing and media support necessary to expand their respective businesses.

Ten past CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund designers have been selected to participate in the shared space:

Albertus Swanepoel
Billy Reid
Creatures of the Wind
George Esquivel
Gregory Parkinson
Monique Péan
Ohne Titel
Pamela Love
Prabal Gurung
Simon Spurr

The showroom will be located at Galerie Joyce at the Palais Royal and will be open from March 3-5 during Paris Fashion Week. On Friday, March 2nd, US Ambassador Charles H. Rivkin and Ms. Susan M. Tolson will host a private cocktail party, at their residence, in honor of the designers and Tommy Hilfiger.

“Following the strong response from retailers and editors last September, we are excited to bring ‘Americans in Paris’ back for a second season. The designers are able to develop new international contacts and business opportunities that will help them further new business globally.” said Steven Kolb, Chief Executive Officer of the CFDA. “I am proud to support the second season of ‘Americans in Paris’,” said Tommy Hilfiger, “a program that celebrates the global impact of American fashion by supporting new talent.”
