Evening Hosted by Francisco Costa, Italo Zucchelli and CFDA’s Steven Kolb
Calvin Klein, Inc. announced that last night Calvin Klein Collection hosted a special screening of the award winning documentary, “Bill Cunningham New York,” at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York City.
Calvin Klein Collection’s creative directors Francisco Costa and Italo Zucchelli co-hosted the evening – alongside Steven Kolb, Executive Director of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) – for fashion industry notables.
In addition to the evening’s hosts and Mr. Kolb, Calvin Klein Collection wardrobed models Carolyn Murphy and Ginta Lapina, as well as Amanda Brooks, Julie Macklowe, Fabiola Beracasa, Lauren Remington Platt, Zani Gugelmann, and Angela Westwater.
Other notables in attendance included Neville Wakefield, Olympia Scarry, Helen Lee Schifter, Linda Fargo, Roopal Patel, Gucci Westman, Grace Coddington, Hamish Bowles, Sally Singer, Robbie Myers, Stephen Gan, Nick Sullivan, Cindy Weber Cleary, Meredith Melling Burke, Marcus Wainwright, Jamie Pallott, Madeline Weeks, Bruce Pask, Rita Konig, Garance Dore, Scott Schuman, Cathy Horyn, Art Ortenberg, Tom Florio, and Stan Herman.
Directed by Richard Press and produced by Philp Gefter, who both spoke briefly to the audience following the screening, “Bill Cunningham New York” is about New York’s original street photographer, which will open to the public on March 16, 2011. The acclaimed film has already won numerous awards, including: Best Storytelling in a Documentary – Nantucket Film Festival; Audience Award: Best Documentary – Melbourne Film Festival; Audience Award: Best Documentary – Sydney Film Festival; Best First Documentary – Abu Dhabi Film Festival; and, Audience Award: Best Documentary – Canberra Film Festival.
