If there are two tenets the CFDA upholds, its fashion and philanthropy. And it’s when these two pillars are combined that we feel excited, inspired, and ultimately pushed toward a change for the greater good. This is why we’re thrilled to attend the Jeffrey Fashion Cares 10th Anniversary Fundraiser on Tuesday, April 2 on board the Intrepid Pier 86.
For the past 10 years Jeffrey Fashion Cares has raised money in hopes of improving the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS and supporting the LGBTQ community by bringing its mission to the runways. The 10th annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares event will not only consist of a silent auction full of fashion items and one-of-a-kind experiences, but will also feature a men’s runway show with 40 of the world’s most notable models wearing designers such as Givenchy, Lanvin, and Dries Van Noten.
Proceeds will benefit the work of four notable organizations: Lambda Legal, The Hetrick Martin Institute, The AIDS Community Research Initiative of America (ACRIA) and The Point Foundation.
In 2012 the success of Jeffrey Fashion Cares afforded ACRIA the ability to provide 400 individuals affected with HIV access to the best medical care and more. You too can be part of raising awareness and making important changes by purchasing tickets here. Now that is something to care about.
