Masha Ma is a 30 year old Chinese-born Central Saint Martin’s graduate. Ma completed her MA in Women’s Wear at Central Saint Martins in 2008. Her MA collection was selected for show at London Fashion Week and subsequently bought by B store. Starting during her MA, she has been a multiple finalist in competitions that include the Lancôme Colour Designs Award 2006, Chloé’s design competition, the Puma CSM Bursary Award and Fashion Fringe 2009. In September 2009 she participated in the 2009 CCDC China Contemporary Design Contest and won the Mouse Ji Best International Innovation Award. In 2011, Ma was short-listed for WGSN “Breakthrough Designer” of the year.

Masha Ma describes the woman she designs for as “at once chic, delicate and sophisticated – while maintaining a strength.”  Masha Ma now lives between Shanghai and Paris. Her sophisticated yet edgy style also caught the eye of pop icon Lady Gaga who wore one of Masha Ma’s creations to the White House to meet President Obama. The designer’s collections have a minimalist feel that is rendered glamorous through the intricate craftsmanship visible in every piece.
