As part of Tumblr’s New York Fashion Week Activation, the prominent blogging platform is celebrating their favorite creators from the past years by pairing them with nearly 20 Tumblr personalities. Each blogger is paired with a fashion designer, magazine, or house for a creative apprenticeship. The blogger will work with each respective creative powerhouse and at the end, capture one impactful photo. The series of photos will culminate in the first ever Tumblr fashion photo exhibit at the beginning of September NY Fashion Week.

What’s the perfect way to kick off the work-week? ANSWER: Spending the day at the CFDA offices, of course! Yesterday, I had the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with many of the CFDA staffers. I got to know a little bit more about what their jobs entail and how this plays a role when it comes to the designers they work with. Often times, we forget how much work goes into building the success of a household name, especially in the fashion industry. My site, The Style Line aims to tell stories about interesting people from all walks of life… so it should come as no surprise that I uncovered not only interesting stories from this extremely passionate team, but furthermore a real sense of community. Needless to say, I left the office inspired. I am incredibly fortunate to have spent time with a team of people who certainly know how to put their best foot (and shoe!) forward, and look effortlessly chic while doing so.
Thanks again for an incredible day CFDA, I’m so excited to have you been able to join you!
