Meet the 2014 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Finalists

This evening, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and Vogue announced the ten finalists of the 2014 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund (CVFF) at a cocktail party in lower Manhattan. The event was hosted by Westfield World Trade Center, which, through its partnership with CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, is committed to supporting these emerging designers.

 

The 2014 Finalists are:

In the next few weeks, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Selection Committee will meet with each Finalist to review their current collections and to conduct in-depth interviews. Subsequently, Committee members will make site visits to the design studio of each Finalist. As part of the evaluation process, this year’s finalists will be asked to participate in a special design challenge underwritten by Maybelline New York.

 

A fashion show featuring several looks by each finalist will take place at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles in October, with the support of online retailer partner thecorner.com. The winner and two runners up will be announced in New York City at a gala dinner on November 3.

 

CFDA Chief Executive Officer Steven Kolb says, “We are proud of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund for the impact it has had on a new generation of talent. The mentoring and business grants associated with the program have inspired other groups and companies to create similar programs, all which work to promote and support these emerging designers.”

 

The 2014 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund process will once again be documented on the series The Fashion Fund which will air on Ovation TV in November 2014.
