The 2014 CFDA/Teen Vogue Scholarship is awarded to Franky Tran, a sophomore at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Tran’s winning portfolio is a womenswear and accessory collection inspired by the jewelry designs of CFDA Member Pamela Love. Tran is awarded a $25,000 scholarship and in addition, thanks to the support of Target, supplemental learning opportunities will be arranged, including a trip to its headquarters in Minneapolis to meet with the design team, attend the CFDA Awards and attend Teen Vogue’s Fashion U.
Five additional students were selected to win awards in the amount of $5,000 each:
Jessica Ferreira, Savannah College of Art & Design
Noa Hu, School of the Art Institute of Chicago
Minsu Kim, Parsons The New School for Design
Jamie Lange, School of the Art Institute of Chicago
Amy Yip, Academy of Art University
This year’s CFDA/Teen Vogue Scholarship Selection Committee was comprised of representatives from CFDA, Teen Vogue, Target as well as CFDA Members Prabal Gurung and Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty of Suno.
