1.    What do you wish you’d known when you were starting out?

 Trust your gut more. 

 

2.    What is one piece of advice you’d give someone just starting out?

 Every time someone tells you no, 10 others will say yes. Use that as drive to succeed.

 

3.    What inspires you on a daily basis?

 My family.

 

4.    How do you choose your collection theme each season?

 It is always a random selection of themes I collect.

 

5.    What is the next step for you with your collection?

Expanding our own brick and mortar retail locations starting with our first store opening in New York this summer 2014.

 

6.    Describe your brand in three words:

 Individual, Fearless, Strong.

 

7.    Hometown:

 Santa Barbara, CA

 

8.    Favorite city:

9.    Current neighborhood:

10.  Your typical OOTD (outfit of the day):

 Always pants, mostly leather.

 Cooking and baking bread!

Irene Neuwirth Quote

 

1.    What do you wish you’d known when you were starting out?

 I wish I knew it was ok to ask for advice.

 

2.    What is one piece of advice you’d give someone just starting out?

Go for it! Don’t wait until its perfect is always a work in progress. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there.

 

3.    What inspires you on a daily basis?

 The women who collect my jewelry inspire me. And the people who relate to what I do creatively.

 

4.    How do you choose your collection theme each season?

Since I’m involved in each step it’s constantly evolving and happens organically. I’m always trying to push myself so each season looks new and fresh.

 

5.    What is the next step for you with your collection?

Bigger, bolder and more fine!

 

6.    Describe your brand in three words:

Luxurious, feminine and whimsical.

 

7.    Hometown:

8.    Favorite city:

Paris

10.  Your typical OOTD (outfit of the day):

 A colorful skirt, different patterned top, slip on sneakers, line stone strand necklace or my opal horse charm necklace.

 Cooking, spending time with my friends and my dog, taking walks and going to the beach.

13. What did you want to be when you grew up?

A horseback riding instructor!

 

 

Marc Alary

1.    What do you wish you’d known when you were starting out?

It might sound odd, but I would say nothing, otherwise if I would have known maybe I would have never started or be on that path, I feel the whole experience is a journey.

 

Maybe the only thing I would say is I would have liked to know how crazy the price of the gold would go from when I started to now, I still would like to know…

 

2.    What is one piece of advice you’d give someone just starting out?

You really need to love what you are doing and be patient.

 

 

3.    What inspires you on a daily basis?

Pretty much anything from a toy, to a print, a book, a sound, to an image I found searching the web.

 

 

4.    How do you choose your collection theme each season?

I choose a few new animals (I usually try not to make obvious choices) I also revisit some of my motifs with unexpected twists. After the first few rounds of research it usually comes all together under a theme (does it make sense?)

 

5.    What is the next step for you with your collection?

Broadening into more accessories

 

 

6.    Describe your brand in three words:

 Sophisticated yet humorous animals

When I was a kid I use to say a I want to be a professional drawer/artist, so I guess I’m not that far off
